DUTY COMMITTEE HEADS  DESCRIPTION
CONCESSIONS  Karen Miller If you can brew coffee all day…You might be a concessionaire. If you can keep your head while counting out change to a four year old… You might be a concessionaire. If you think that 6am warm-up is for wimps…You might be a concessionaire. If you want to have fun with the people at the meet and still see your kid swim…You should be a concessionaire. The Dolphin Diner keeps everyone bellies full and the parents and coaches caffeinated. It’s definitely the place to be!
Community/Corporate Sponsorship Coordinator Gretchen Taylor Are you able to donate funds to CKST? Then contact our Sponsorship coordinator to see what kinds of perks you get from your tax deductible donation!
HEATING Brandi Boydstun One of the most important areas of the meet. The volunteers that run heating keep our meet moving fluidly and efficiently. If you have a need for organization and don’t mind a little chaos, this is the place for you. Using the meet program, you will place the swimmers in their specific event, heat and lane. You are in constant contact with the meet officials and also updating the event call boards to alert swimmers as to when they are competing.
Burrito Rolling Coordinator Kathy Miller CKST Breakfast Burritos are the Best!!! Come and help build this delicious swim meet staple. Inquire with the Coordinator, the ins and outs!
TIMING Ainsley Barnett If you sign up for the first shift of timing you will be asked to attend a brief timer’s meeting ten to fifteen minutes before the meet starts. You will be assigned a lane and be given a stop watch. There will be three timers per lane, one of whom will need to record the swimmer’s times on the sheet. Verify that the name  is that of the actual swimmer, this is especially helpful with the 8 and under’s. There will be a runner to pick up the timer sheets at the end of each event.
Second shift timers need to relieve first shift timers at the appointed time. You will already have a lane assigned when you sign up or the timing coordinator will let you know which lane needs to be covered. After the last swimmer has finished his/her race for your lane you are free to leave. Third shift timers need to relieve second shift timers at the appointed time. You will already have a lane assigned when you sign up or the timing coordinator will let you know which lane needs to be covered. After the last swimmer has finished his/her race for your lane you are free to leave. Make sure that you return the watch to the timing coordinator and know that your assistance has been greatly appreciated.
OFFICIALS COORDINATOR Kris Dolloff Anyone interested in being an Official MUST attend officials training. Please contact Kris Dolloff, kcdolloff@comcast.net for more information.
TENT FAMILY Hart’s and Martin’s The Tent Family is responsible for setting up, taking down and transporting our team tent to each meet. You can receive PPF credit for this responsibility. There will be circumstances in which you will need to transport the tent to a meet in which your family is not competing. Arrangements can be made for assistance during these times.
